Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers to the questions dispatch hears most. If yours isn't here, call or text — a person answers, day or night.
Need help right now?
If you're on a highway shoulder, in traffic, or at a crash scene, skip the reading and call 734-985-0010. Get somewhere safe first, then tell dispatch where you are. A cross street, an exit number, or a dropped pin is the most useful thing you can give us.
For everything else, the answers below cover how we work, how pricing and payment go, and what we don't do. Our towing and roadside assistance pages go into more detail on each service.
Questions
Towing and roadside questions
What are your hours?
We're open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays. Nights and weekends are answered by the same dispatch team that answers during the day.
Where do you work?
We're based in Ypsilanti and cover all of Washtenaw County, including Ann Arbor, Saline, Dexter, Chelsea, Milan, and Whitmore Lake, plus Canton. Drop-offs can be anywhere, including out of state. See our service areas for each town.
How much does a tow cost?
A tow is a hook-up fee plus loaded miles, the miles driven with your vehicle on the truck. Roadside calls such as a jump-start or lockout are a single service price. Because every job depends on the vehicle, the location, and the destination, dispatch gives you the exact price on the phone before a truck is sent.
Will I know the price before you come?
Yes, every time. Dispatch tells you the full price, including any add-on such as a holiday or extra winching, before you agree. Nothing gets added at the curb.
How do I pay?
Cash or card. For card payments, dispatch can text or email you a secure payment link so you can pay from your phone. You get an itemized receipt either way.
Do you take insurance or bill my roadside plan?
No. We don't bill or accept insurance directly. You pay us, and the itemized receipt lists each charge on its own line so you can submit it to your insurer or roadside plan for reimbursement.
Do you offer a military or veteran discount?
Yes. Active-duty military and veterans get 10% off. Just mention it to dispatch when you call.
Can you tow an all-wheel-drive car or an EV?
Yes. AWD cars, hybrids, and electric vehicles ride fully on the deck with all four wheels off the road, so nothing in the drivetrain turns. Give dispatch the year, make, and model. More on flatbed towing.
Who decides where my car is towed?
You do. You pick where it goes: your mechanic, a dealership, a body shop, your driveway, or somewhere out of town. Trips outside the county are covered on our long-distance towing page.
Can I book a tow for later?
Yes. If the vehicle is parked somewhere safe, send a message or a text with the pickup address, destination, vehicle, and a time window, and dispatch will confirm a time and price. If you're on the side of the road now, call 734-985-0010 instead.
Do you sell and install car batteries?
Yes. We bring the new battery to wherever the car is parked and install it on the spot. See mobile battery replacement.
Can you get into my car if I locked the keys inside?
For most cars, trucks, and SUVs, yes, without damage. We'll ask you to show that the vehicle is yours before we open it. See lockout assistance.
Is there anything you don't do?
Yes. We don't remove junk, scrap, or abandoned vehicles. We don't release vehicles from police or city impound lots, and we don't do repossessions. We also don't store vehicles, so every tow goes straight to the destination you choose.
What languages does dispatch speak?
English, Arabic, Spanish, German, and Romanian. Use whichever one makes it easiest to tell us where you are and what happened.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes, both. Our USDOT number is 4562804, and you can look it up on the federal FMCSA SAFER system.
Stuck right now?
